An Overwhelmingly Canadian Day

Today was a little bit nuts!

In PEI the day started off with snow. Yes, SNOW – check it out:

I can’t believe it! The snow was gone by noon, but to see snow well before Halloween is unusual, even in Canada! My poor flowers!

What else? Well, it’s also election day! People are getting out to vote (although I took advantage of the advanced polls) and every one of my social feeds is fiery and political. It’s exciting to see how many people are getting involved in this decision. I hope that we see the change that we’re all looking for.

The Blue Jays are playing in Toronto tonight – which is another event that I’m trying to haphazardly follow – and after two losses in this round, they’ll be looking for a win on home field. And if I seem a little exuberant today, it’s because there was an abundance of treats in the break-room at work: cake, donuts, Tim bits, and cookies. I’ve never seen such a spread.

Anyway, it’s a busy night in Canada and I have too many things to follow. I hope you’re having an exciting Monday too!
