Our deck garden is doing OK, but it’s tiny compared to the real thing.
We’re starting to see some fruit, but it will be nowhere near as bountiful as our main crop. That said, deck gardening can be an enjoyable way to satisfy your green thumb.
Tips for deck gardening:
Choose large pots – the bigger the better! One plant per pot usually works best.
Use good quality potting soil.
Water often. Deck plants will require much more water than a regular garden.
You may need to bring pots indoors or tie them down during storms. This is a big problem for us.
