Saturday afternoon stop at Peake’s Warf

Today, after surprisingly little convincing, Scott agreed to take a walk downtown and grab a cone of Cow’s ice cream between errands. What a marvellous idea, if I do say so myself!

We enjoyed Charlottetown’s waterfront scenery -taking time to smell the roses – before popping into the ever-busy Cow’s store to grab heaping cones of creamy perfection. I tried the Chip Chip Hurray: vanilla base with toffee and delicious chocolate covered potato chips. Gooey and delicious – but a bit too messy to take a photo of if I’m honest.

We happened to catch Charlottetown singer-songwriter Dave Woodside performing at Peake’s Warf. I enjoyed his voice and choice of upbeat songs, while Scott complimented his guitar playing between jokes about the chocolate I had all over my face. I did say it was a messy treat!

It was fantastic to see a show, but the heat was a bit too much after out walk. Woodside is definitely a performer to keep your eye out for – he’ll even let you join him on stage to dance a jig if you’re participating in a scavenger hunt!
