Regrowing a Green Onion

Every once in a while I decide that I should regrow a green onion from the bulb part after making a salad.

I still have the heart of a young biologist.

The weird thing: they totally grow back. The tasty green leaves will reappear with just a little time, sunlight, and water. Eventually, after a few clippings of new onion greens, they won’t taste as delicious due to a lack of nutrients. But it’s a weirdly fun experiment that I continue to do even in my late twenties.

Because who wants to spend a dollar on a bunch of onion greens when you can keep growing your own stash for free?

Do you ever re-grow veggies from scraps?
